The MHA Service Corporation was incorporated as a for-profit corporation on July 1, 1979. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Michigan Health and Hospital Association. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the customers' operating environment and dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction have resulted in continuous corporate growth for the past twenty-seven years.

The Service Corporation has earned a reputation as the leader in providing a wide range of programs and services to all sizes of health care and other organizations. The Service Corporation provides unique, cost-effective, quality-driven programs and services unmatched by any other single service organization in Michigan.

Over 97 percent of all Michigan hospitals currently participate in Service Corporation programs and under the leadership of President Spencer C. Johnson, many other health care organizations such as nursing homes and clinics are realizing the benefits of purchasing our products and services. A close working relationship with the Michigan Health & Hospital Association allows the Service Corporation timely access to industry shifts and trends not readily available to other companies, and gives us the opportunity to tap into those resources most knowledgeable of the needs of the health care community.

The Service Corporation logo depicts the unique three-party relationship between Michigan health organizations, the Michigan Health & Hospital Association, and the association's wholly-owned subsidiary, the MHA Service Corporation.

The symbol is a triangle formed by three interlocking stylized circles. The circles are interlocked to signify the continuing, unending, interdependence of the relationship. The triangle repeats the three-party relationship and stresses its strength and endurance, creating a partnership where sharing of information and expertise makes all parties stronger and better able to meet the ongoing demands of providing services.
