INTERIM ADMINISTRATOR
THE PROGRAM
The MHASC has provided administrators to hospitals on an interim basis ranging from a few months to more than a year. The interim is selected from a group of experienced candidates who are on file with the Service Corporation. This service grew out of the Professional Search Service currently offered by the Association.
THE COST
A monthly fee is charged which is not tied into a long-term arrangement—cancelable upon 30 days written notice. The Interim is an independent contractor and is not considered an employee of the hospital or the Service Corporation. Out-of-pocket expenses and living arrangements are paid by the hospital.
WHY AN INTERIM ADMINISTRATOR?
- The hospital is in a state of flux or is evaluating the future needs of the facility.
- The hospital may be thinking of selling or merging/affiliating and wishes to consider options at their own pace.
BENEFITS
- Fast, competent service to large and small healthcare organizations.
- Interviewing, prescreening and reference checking.
- Qualified, experienced candidates.
- A temporary contract that allows the board/hospital to evaluate alternatives at their own pace.
